Sowmya has completed a bachelor’s degree in Chamarajanagar town and is currently employed at Punarchith as an office assistant. A shy and reticent person by nature, the camera has enabled her to come out of her shell and to venture into the streets and bylanes of Nagavalli village. ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪುನರ್ಚಿತ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಚೇರಿ ಸಹಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಭಾವತಃ ಸಂಕೋಚದವರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದು ನಾಗವಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಾಡಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಸಾಹಸ ಮಾಡಲು ನೆರವಾಯಿತು. ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವಾದ, ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಯ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಹಲವಾರು ಸ್ವರೂಪಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ್ವವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
